Once accepted and payment has been made artwork will need to be received before Sunday 18th August.

We are thrilled to announce that Artist Talk Magazine is currently inviting artists to display their artwork in the famous London Underground in 2024. You can now apply. Please note applications are first come first serve. Therefore if you are interested you should apply now. Please note payment is made first to confirm your place.


London Underground Poster Art has long been celebrated for its iconic and captivating designs. From the early 20th century to the present day, these posters have not only served as a means of promoting the tube system, but have also become a cherished form of art. With their bold colors, striking graphics, and inventive typography, these posters offer a unique glimpse into London's history and culture, making them an integral part of the city's visual identity. Whether showcasing famous landmarks, promoting events, or simply capturing the essence of London life, the underground poster art continues to inspire and captivate audiences around the world. We are thrilled to contribute to this storied legacy in the heart of London.


Your art will be showcased on the Digital Escalator Panels (DEPs), a set of 23” High Definition portrait LCD screens positioned on both the left and right sides of the main escalator. The resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Showcase your art at two renowned London Underground stations. Expect your artwork to be displayed for approximately 10 seconds every two minutes, totaling 5 minutes every hour. At Oxford Circus, your artwork will be shown 720 times, and at Leicester Square, it will be shown 180 times. Your artwork will occupy a singular digital frame on the escalator. The exhibition will be in continuous rotation, with your work displayed for 10 seconds before transitioning to the next rotation. We have a total of 10 transitions.


Please be advised that during the exhibition, no other advertisements will be featured, allowing for a solely artist-focused experience.

Exhibition book

We will also produce a digital catalogue, showcasing all of the artworks featured in the exhibition. This will give more details about each piece created and exhibited. Your main artwork will get a full page in the digital catalogue example below. The other pieces of art will be shown after all together.


Please note you will need to purchase the hard copy of the book separately. This is not included. The book will be available digitally for free.

Selection Criteria


  • All-media are accepted as long as you display a still image. For example if you wanted to submit a video, we would only be accept a still from the video footage
  • Everyone is welcome to apply. Please note you might be accepted by us. However the advertising agency has the final word and can decline your entry. If this does happen a full refund will be given
  • Worldwide submissions welcome
  • The advertising company do not allow political or religious content, no nudity or vulgar content, no smoking and no alcohol. Think of the display as Disneyland, if it can be displayed there it can be displayed on the London Underground.


Please read -  the advertising company can cancel the display at any time. For example the week before the event. The display can be blocked due to maintenance. If this happens we will try and find an alternative, however we are not able to 100% guarantee the event will take place. Obviously we always try our best. However we will offer a full refund if the event is cancelled. Please note we are not responsible if you have booked flights o hotels for this event. In the case of this happening before cancelling. We will try and find an alternative display in Times Square, or arrange a different date. Any questions about this please to ask. 


What Next and How to Apply?

B. Your main artwork. If the image you are sending is a large file we recommend sending via www.wetransfer.com. Please note images must be minimum 300 dpi. Please send the highest resolution image you have. Acceptable files to send are JPG, PNG and PDF.

C. Your title of your submitted artwork

D. We will also need no more than 115 words which is roughly 598 characters without spaces, talking about the piece you have submitted. After this feel free to provide more text talking about your work and entry. However please make the entry paragraph highlighted. This is just for the main artwork.

When our digital exhibition is live, London will also be hosting renowned Frieze London from October 9 - 13, 2024 at The Regent's Park. Please note we have zero affiliation the the Frieze. You can discover the Frieze here - www.frieze.com/fairs/frieze-london Anticipate a multitude of art enthusiasts and visitors during that week.


Frieze London was established in 2003 by Amanda Sharp and Matthew Slotover, and is currently overseen by Director Eva Langret. As one of the world’s most influential contemporary art fairs, it focuses exclusively on contemporary art and living artists. The fair takes place annually in October at The Regent’s Park, located in the heart of London. The 2023 edition will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Frieze London, offering a dynamic program and a special initiative called Artist-to-Artist. This initiative features eight world-renowned artists who will propose a counterpart for a solo exhibition at the fair.


Over the past few years, Frieze London and Frieze Masters have collectively attracted over 60,000 visitors annually. Among them are art world enthusiasts, including curators, artists, collectors, gallerists, and critics, alongside members of the general public. While some attend as first-time art collectors, others see the fair as an enriching cultural outing, viewing it more as an exhibition experience.
