Following her international debut at the Artbaho Contemporary Art Fair in Barcelona last year, contemporary Welsh landscape artist Sarah Jane Brown is currently presenting a series of paintings in a new exhibition at the Art Nou Millenni Gallery in the centre of Barcelona. Launching with a preview on 24th January to an enthusiastic reception, the 'To believe or not to believe' exhibition will be available to view at the Art Nou Millenni Gallery located on the famous Consell de Cent street, through into February. Sarah Jane's landscape paintings are showcased on their unique brick walled exhibition space, together with seven other talented artists. Sarah Jane's paintings combine a mix of ‘old master’ techniques with contemporary working practice. Conceptually her paintings are an outpouring of personal feeling and a strong sense of place; the landscape becoming a metaphorical vehicle to describe more emotional concerns. Her natural ability to convey the intensity of her experiences presents an emotional narrative throughout her work, encouraging viewers to connect and engage on a deeper level. Sarah Jane has exhibited widely across the UK, and her work is now collected internationally. An Associate Member (AGSA) of The Guild Society of Artists, her notable highlights include exhibiting with the Royal Society of Marine Artists at London's Mall Galleries, and the Royal Cambrian Academy in North Wales. Current UK events include exhibiting at the Royal Cambrian Academy's Open Exhibition 2019 until 9th February. Upcoming international events include exhibiting at the Museum Gustavo Maetzu in Navarra, North West Spain in spring 2019. Current work is available to view at Off The Wall Gallery in Cardiff, Etcetera Gallery in St Davids, the Russell Gallery in Putney, and the Discerner Gallery in Mayfair by appointment.
