Hello, I am

Hoàng Lâm Tứ Bảo

To me, painting is my passion and I show my passion through my paintings.

ABOUT

I have been passionate about drawing since I was a child and now I choose abstract paintings to convey my passion and inner thoughts. In my opinion, looking at abstract paintings is a good way to nurture emotions, because they are not bound by specific limits, but are freely felt and imagined in each person's own way. I often realize that each person's feelings according to their imagination are sometimes far from the author's ideas. But I like that difference and respect and open my heart to accept it. Currently, I am living and working in Vietnam, I create paintings with the theme of landscapes in an abstract style, my works are inspired by nature and what is happening in the world. In my creative process, I often use materials such as dark acrylic and Indian ink on papier-mâché on non-woven fabric and pasted on format to create solidity for the work.

From a young age, I have harbored a deep passion for drawing, and today, I channel that passion and my inner thoughts through abstract paintings. I believe that engaging with abstract art is a wonderful way to nurture emotions; it transcends specific boundaries and allows for each individual to feel and interpret it in their own unique way. I often notice that people's emotional responses can diverge significantly from the artist's original intent, but I appreciate that divergence and welcome it with an open heart. Currently based in Vietnam, I specialize in creating abstract landscape paintings, drawing inspiration from the beauty of nature and the events unfolding in the world around me. Throughout my creative process, I frequently work with materials like dark acrylics and Indian ink on papier-mâché, applied to non-woven fabric, which provides a robust foundation for my artwork.

How would you describe your work to someone seeing it for the first time?

For those experiencing my work for the very first time, it offers a captivating sense of mystery and depth that draws you in from the moment you lay eyes on it. The vibrant and striking colors intertwine beautifully, forming an enigmatic and dynamic atmosphere that invites exploration and contemplation. As the eye moves across the canvas, the flowing curves inspire feelings of freedom and creativity, evoking a sense of movement as if the artwork itself is narrating a compelling tale without the need for words. Each glance reveals new layers and hidden meanings, encouraging a personal connection to the piece that resonates long after the initial encounter.

What and which artists have influenced your work?

The individual who profoundly impacts me is my very first teacher; their unwavering guidance and support create a safe space that allows for the freedom to introduce new details and emotions into my work. This nurturing environment not only breathes life into my creations but also encourages their continual evolution, pushing me to explore new ideas and perspectives that I had never considered before. Through their mentorship, I have learned to embrace growth and the transformative power of creativity, which has significantly shaped my artistic journey.

If you could collaborate with any artist past or present, who would you select and why?

Throughout my journey from past to present, I have consciously chosen not to collaborate with other artists. This decision stems from my desire to maintain a distinct creative voice and vision. As an independent artist, I truly value the autonomy that comes with being able to make choices on my own terms; it allows me to explore my ideas freely and without external influence. I believe that creative endeavors necessitate both solitude and focused concentration, enabling me to delve deeply into my work and cultivate a personal style that reflects my individuality. This approach has not only shaped my artistic identity but has also reinforced my commitment to my craft.

What can we expect to see from you in the future?

In the future, I aspire for every piece of art to not only convey a meaningful message but also to resonate deeply with viewers in such a way that it can transcend the trials of time. I envision art as a powerful force that has the potential to inspire positive changes in people's thoughts and actions, encouraging them to reflect on their own lives and the world around them. Through creativity and expression, I hope that each artwork becomes a catalyst for dialogue, fostering understanding and empathy while leaving a lasting impact on society.
