We are inviting anyone who creates art, to submit to our Open Call which could be included in our magazine, Issue 36 - Thursday 27th March 2025. All mediums are accepted. We have no theme for this issue. Our aim is to celebrate your work. Hopefully with this broad theme, we will be able to show case a range of exciting art work.

We will be selecting a maximum of 157 artworks, which will be featured on a full page + 15 artworks will be selected to be featured on double page spread.

Unfortunately we will not be able to showcase every entry. However if your work is not selected you will be given a full refund. Please note if you cancel your order, or qualify for a full refund. We have processing fees that will be deducted from the full refund. This is normally £1. If you have any questions about ordering please get in contact. If you enter more than one piece and only one is selected you will not be eligible for a full refund.

We will also create x16 artwork montage pages, which will also be included in the magazine. This will showcase a maximum of 256 artworks. Size of each piece will be confirmed, maximum size will be W:4cm x H:6cm. We will also include some landscape format pictures within this, which will take 2 spaces

Every selected artwork will also be included in our online gallery, Please note all montage images will be shown first in the gallery. Then followed by the Full page and double page artworks in order. We will show each artwork in full and also include a full description. You will also get the option to make a blog post (you can redeem this throughout the year simply email us the wording and images you would like to post and we will then upload this to our website).

Application Process

• Anyone can enter this Open Call. Hopefully with this broad theme we will capture a range of exciting work that captures the work produced by living artists right now.
• We do have a submission fee: £15 per work Purchase here (Please note you are welcome to order more than 1 entry to enter more work. However when selecting work we will most probably only select one piece. To make sure we can show a wide variety of work. But we will look at options for example placing more than one of your entries on one page. Please contact for more information on this.
• Once you have purchased the submission fee on this link. You will receive an order number
• You will then need to email your submission to grantmilne@artisttalkmagazine.com You will need to include, your name, order number. We will also need no more than 115 words which is roughly 598 characters without spaces. Your title of your submitted artwork, your name and blurb talking about your submission. After this paragraph feel free to provide more text talking about your work and entry. However please make the entry paragraph highlighted.
• We also have a discover more section. Please can you confirm your web URL + Social media. You can also confirm your artworks price range. Please confirm your lowest and highest price for your artwork.
• Your artwork does not need to be for sale.
• Please note the piece submitted does not need to be recently completed. It can be a piece that was produced at any point.

Selected artist

• Everyone who entered will be notified if they have been selected not before Sunday 19th January 2025 and the latest date will be Friday 22nd February 2025
• Selected work will be placed on a single page, double page or our montage page layout.
• Please note your image may be cropped to fit within the layout. Any concerns about this please email us before. Every entry will get a template created for them for approval
• We will promote every selected single page or a double page on our social media
• 157 artworks will be selected to be featured on a full page
• 15 artworks will be selected to be featured on double page spread
• Artists not selected for a full page or double page, may be included on our montage pages. Maximum size will be W:4cm x H:6cm. We will also include some landscape format pictures within this, which will take 2 spaces.
• Every selected piece that is included within the magazine to confirm that is the full page, double page and montage page. They will also be included in our online gallery, Please note all montage images will be shown first in the gallery. Then followed by the Full page and double page artworks in order. • Every selected artist will also get the option to make a blog post (you can redeem this throughout the year simply email us the wording and images you would like to post and we will then upload this to our website). If the image you are sending is a large file we recommend sending via www.wetransfer.com. Please note images must be minimum 300 dpi. Please send the highest resolution image you have. Acceptable files to send are JPG and PDF. Video format is also accepted.
